We have technically started to record, as we did put the drum machine down for the songs and have printed tones. But the real stuff happens on Tuesday night. Justin gets on a plane on Friday and has promised our friends at Hydra Head that he'll have at least rough mixes, so this is all happening real quick.
Well, quick unless you count the several months of pre-production setup. We don't count that, 'cause it's not like someone's charging us to be in our own damn studio.
But this is still a moment to take a second to enjoy. We've put a lot of work into getting to this point. Things can still go wrong, but if they don't we're prepared to knock this thing out of the park in a night or two - just the two of us playing these songs we like, putting them to tape in a straightforward fashion.
Oh, hey. Justin wants you to know that he's been diligent about continuing to document the recording experimentation he's been working on with the journal. He promises on his honor that he'll put further chapters up on the recording process after we get the actual product out the door.
